Hungry like wolf!  | | When I am way hungry or don't take time to eat slow,I'll wolf down my food! I usually do this at work and when I'm just plain over hungry! Not a good thing to do!I really don't taste and enjoy my food! It is a bad habit! It is one of the many bad eating habits I have! I should enjoy my food not attact it like a wolf does with its prey!

I can't concentrate myself, i just think about going to Mcdonalds and eat like a wolf like you say. I feel bad about that because i'm a little overweight (71k) and i have a nice breakfast -tea or some good stuff and then i ruined everything eating more than it's necessary.

I assume that in your work place you have set times for breaks and I bet these are not long enough to really enjoy your meal and all you can do then is rush, rush and rush some more. Its similar at my work place. Full time workers have 12 minutes time for breakfast and glorious 18 minutes for lunch. So both breaks are half an hour combined. I have breakfast while commuting to work with trains. I work a 75% job there and so I take time for lunch normally no matter whether I go to the cafeteria to have a hot meal there occasionally or I live on my usual sandwiches. Sitting down and taking time to eat is important not only to feel happy and satisfied after eating but also for emotional balance. Maybe you could start changing things when you are at home. Like take time for your breakfast or which ever meal you are going to have, and stop eating in the middle of a meal for a short moment, and see how much more you really need
I dont do that all the time with the short stop in a meal but I try to be more attentive towards smell, look and taste of my food and try not to eat in haste any more.

blue65packer (1829) | 2 months ago | Eating breakfast I take my time and I usually eat cereal. I work 11:30am to 8:00pm or longer if needed. I do have a half hour break for lunch in the afternoon but I have gotten in the habit of going down to the computer lab! I do also have two fifteen minutes breaks. In the past I used to eat on break but I still wouldn't take alot of time to eat! I need to seat down on my half hour break and take my time instead of eating when i'm busy working! At home I do take time to eat lunch and dinner. Thanks for the response and advice!
