Well, ISP is one of the most controversial topic in many of national netter. I dont think every one have their own view about isp. First of all, i want to say that most of indonesian ISP is bad and slow. I use a few of them and i dont really satisfied with them. Here is a simple review about them: TelkomnetInstant it simply the first isp i ever use, and it is very very slow, i dont know if it still survive now, because it has a very slow speed and a very high price Mentari Durasi This is the first isp 3g that i use. It is quite satisfieing at the time. It has decent speed, so you can enjoy browsing, chatting, and web cam. but it still no go for downloading. The price is quite expensive thought, but it still affordable. Now with im3 internet voucher around, i dont think it still exist. Quasar It is a first unlimited wireless that i ever use ( 2 years ago ). It is good for chat, but browsing and other staff is real slow. I dont know if there still in bussiness now. But i heard their quality is increasing, but i dont know for sure. Im2 Broom Unlimited Extra It is a second unlimited wireless that i use, it is more faster then Quasar, and more cheaper. but it is really hard to connect, and the speed is less then mentari durasi, and after you quota is used up, the speed become very slow ( still not as slow as quasar ). Fastnet Fastnet is good, and cheap. At first i want to use them, but the weak point is, they just simply not for every one. For a person who live at alley / narrow street like me where car can't get in, fastnet will reject the request because it simply to expensive to extend the network because they used cable. Speedy Speedy is my favorite isp, i'm not saying it is excelence with no error. I just simply said it that althought it is have error and other bad thing, at least it is better then the other ( i dont know about fastnet, but fast net can go to my house ). But off course it is not wireless so you can only use it at home. Ok, any of you have you own opinion???

Oh yes, now i understand. Having the most biggest network, Telkom will make internet avaiable at every place where they have the network. Maybe for me who live in jakarta, telkomnet Instant seem like a joke. Because it is very slow, and it has a very expensive price. But there is other place in indonesia where telkomnet instant is the only option. Thank you for enlighten me.

Yes, telkomnet instant, being dial up, its very slow and expensive. I didnt even think they are still exist now until you said this. So what kind of connection the star one provide? Did it unlimited, quota based, etc? And are you satisfied with the speed and service the star one provide to you? Thanks for responding

ISP which your mention above using quota at any time can run out if you frequently use online. ISP I use is Smart Phone, I was somewhat disappointed that sometimes do not want to connect and the dashed. I am interested in products from Smart that uses EVDO system as the fastest data transfer. Mentioned that this new technology very well, and do not have a quota limit as in other ISP that promised cheaper rates but it is limited quota.

Yes a few of them using quota, but mentari durasi, is not, it is a paid what u use, quasar is unlimited with out quoata, fastnet is also unlimited with out quota. So did you actually use that EVDO system? Or you use other Smart Phone product? Anyway, thanks for replying to this discusion.

I am still using Smart Phone, but I love to use EVDO+Smart SIM Card the speed is never down when I read about this technology plus the cost is very cheaper. It's up to you, because I don't force you to use what I used. I am trying and if okay for me then I'll use it.

Well can you tell me more about EVDO System. You said it is cheap, then what is the exact price? Did i need to buy a new modem for using them, or can i use my 3G Handphone ( that also can i use as a modem ). And how much is the max speed that the EVDO System Offer. Thanks
