Beading 101 (acessory making)

A place where you can find all the things you want to know about beading. Questions and informations are accepted please feel free to share it.

First things to know are the materials and tools needed:
1. beads (gemstones, semi-precious gems, glass beads, swarovski and etc.)
2. stringing materials (beading wire, nylon, memory wire, copper wire and etc.)
3. pins (headpins- nail like pins and eyepins-have loops as base)
4. clasps
5. crimps
6. pliers (roundnose and flatnose*please note that you have to use non serated pliers to protect the beads and avoid marks on crimps)
7. ear wires or fish hooks for earrings
8. cutters to cut the wires and pins

Where to buy them:
Here in the Philippines the bead paradise is in Quiapo. At Villalobos St. or a known landmark is behind the big mercury drug building.
Online there are a lot of online bead shops out there so might as well check them out.
Ebay also have stores for beading fanatics.
Your local craft store.
