MY boyfriend LOVES scrubs!  

I love Scrubs so much because it's hilarious. The interaction between all the characters is phenomenal. The janitor is one of my favorite television characters of all time. He cracks me up. I first started watching it because I like medical shows. I like to see if they get their medical information right; it's a game for me.

One thing I learned a few months ago that might help you to like the show is that medical residents say it's the best show for capturing what life is really like as a resident. Before each season the writers will talk to residents and ask them to talk about weird or funny things that have happened to them while they were at work, and some of those incidents are incorporated into the show.

I've always liked the show, but I didn't love the show at first, either. It kind of grows on you. So maybe you just need to give it more time.

I can TOTALLY understand your boyfriend. If you start watching it, you will understand. The reasons why I also LOVE Scrubs? It's one of the funniest, most clevers and original comedies ever created. The jokes are sharp and quick. You really need to watch it without distractions. It's a show made in a very smart way, incorporating the goofines of 2 of the main characters (JD and Turk). I love JD's "day dreams". Scrubs was the first comedy (that I know of) which mixes imaginative situations with the "real" situations on the show. This could be confusing when you see it for the first time, but after a few minutes you catch up with the style of the show. This style is what makes it so funny and different. I am devastated to think it could end someday (and most of the characters are changing right now). I cannot even imagine Scrubs without JD, now that he is supposedly going to another hospital. Suggestion for you: Start by renting the previous seasons (from the 1st to the 7th). I promise you will get hooked on it too. Remember, not to have distractions around. Also it's nice to be able to re-wind if you missed a joke. If the end the show, I'll buy all the seasons (one by one if I had to).

It is a great comedy series. What I like about scrubs is that even though it is a comedy show, there are episodes that could really make you cry. I used to spend hours and hours just watching it. It is one of the shows that you won't get tired watching over and over again. I suggest that you start from season 1 to enjoy it better.
