If you were to write a poem, what would be it about?

I always love to read poems,of no particular poets.
I love reading love poems the most.

Sometimes i also wrote some lines of love.
here's one inspiring line that i love most.

"i search a lifetime and found you,
a bridge to forever i share you
open your heart and let me in
as i gave you this promise of love

now that i have you for my own
as God is our witness never let you go
feeling one heartbeat as we become one
one life one body,we are one soul.

i stand before you just a man
i need your hand to understand,
what is life,when there's you
as i promise you this day and forever;
This promise of love!"

i am too much realistic so i prefer to write on realism. i do believe in de-constructalism and my poem reflects it. say prostitude, it is a part of our society but if u follow wordsworth, then u have to avoid it bcoz his motto was back to the nature. but i reveal the real world. i never go to natural items. i have written more than 100 poems and all are published. thanks.

I have written poetry that has been published but nothing of the calibre of the poets you mentioned. I tend to write poetry when I am struggling with something or unhappy. Strange isn't it? But it is challenging to begin with a paragraph or a completed story the can be reduced to a few words that still convey the meaning. Most of my poetry, if not all, describe emotions at a particular time. Great post Bodhi. I feel sure that you write too.

it would be about two lovers who after so long time found each other yet still cant be together in the end. its kind of sad. am glad i dont know how to write a poem or else, i would be crying as well as the readers.

my poem would be about the state of my pulverized wasted heart. heart break is a great muse, it makes you write so honestly.

If I were to write a poem, I will write about questions when I was still a child that part of it never been answered. I write a poetry once during my high school days and it gives me an interest to write more about narrative poem but now I don't have much time to write because I am working.

I love to wright the poem, and most of the time I right the poem about love, because when you think about Love and start wright so lot of thing and word comes in your mind and you wright well so I do this what about you?

I often write poems for special occasions or memorial services, always about people I am close to. I try to give others a perspective on their lives and make it personal. I've also written poems as part of my degree course.

We had to write sonnets and free verse. I prefer sonnets, and I like my poetry to rhyme, so I enjoy the poetry of Shakespeare, William Blake and Tennyson.
