| |  That one was an asus eee pc. It's an old model actually. I don't know how much was the recent model. But this one I got for not more that $400. That was more than two years ago if I'm not mistaken.

I have an Acer 15.6 inch dual-core laptop with 2gigs of ram and 250 gb hard drive.
It is even more powerful than my previous desktop which was intel e2180. Surprising how the gap between desktops and laptops are reducing these days.
I usually use my laptop for work and desktop for gaming ( I plan on getting a quad core soon). Cheers!

| | if you want a desktop/laptop just for playing games or for some high-end graphics then i prefer you go for Intel i7 processor. it's one of the fastest & best processor on earth so far with 8 threads.

The one that I own is dell 1520 model.
Love it!
Its specs are
C2D t7300(2 ghz,4mb L2 cache)
HD 120gb
Graphic card 8400m gs(128mb ddr2)
I play a lot of games.For this I overclock to max.
GFX default 400/800/400 (3dmark 06 score 1650)
overclocked 550/1100/490 (3dmark 06 score 2055)
My brothers is the same except the processor is 2.2ghz
And GFX card is 8600m gt(256mb ddr2)(3dmark score 3750!)
