Several months ago, I have read a blog about a person who had some terrible experience over his paypal account. Someone have hack into his account and change his password. After contacting to paypal support team and have proven that his account was indeed hack by third party. The worst part is, the money on that account was already transfered and gone into thin air. Paypal is very strict on their policies to prevent this from happening, but still people with malicious intentions still been able to get into it. Weather it was hack or simply our own fault, its our money on that account and we should take good care of it.

This is the first time I heard this news. Hackers with bad intention will always find a way to take that money no matter how secured the site. For us paypal users, I think we need to put only some on that account and put the rest to your bank. That way, if your money will be stolen, it isn't that big. But, paypal should do better in applying their security to their subscribers accounts. They find a solution and counteract to any flaws in the security.

One thing I know is that when you accessed your paypal account on a different IP address, paypal will send a message to your registered e-mail address that your account was accessed by a third party and your account will have a limited access. They will then ask some validation from you in order to removed the limited access. But the problem is that the money was already been transfered prior to this warning from them. I personally experienced this one and as a precaution, i never use a different IP address to access my account to paypal.
