When females are having a heart attack the symptoms are usually different from a male having a heart attack. You usually know your body and you know if its a different feeling then the usual headache, pain, or heartburn. A female had been suffering with heartburn for awhile (6 months)her doctor was prescribing antiacid medicine. She knew something was wrong but didn't know to ask for a stress test. She died at the age of 48 due to a massive heartache.
1. Pressure & tightness across the chest,
2. Pain down the arm, shouldners, jaw, neck usually on the left side
2. headache, blurred vision, lightheadness. dizziness, sweating, fatigue
3. Shortness of Breath
4. Indigestion,Nausea, vomiting
5. Coughing and Heart Palpitations
If you have the Symptoms listed above or combinations of symptoms get to a doctor right away. If they brush you aside and say its just heartburn or indigestion. Tell them you are not leaving till you have had a stress test done.
Take care and good health to all of you!

Thank you for psting this. My daddy passed away of a hear attack in 1985. However, I didn't know that the females' symptoms were different to the males. That's so sad about the 48 year old woman dying of a heart attack and to think that she had been suffering from hearburn for six months! Her doctor should have known to perform a stress test on her! Or was he like most doctors, just didn't care as long as he was getting that money? I also didn't know that the symptoms listed in #3 above could be signs of a heart attack. Kathy.
