1. lelin1123 (4218) | 2 months ago | I call my parents at least once a day and on many occasions I could call up to 3 times a day. My parents live in Florida so I don't get to see them as offen as I wish. So I call and or skype them. Which is one of the best inventions ever.

2. learn2earn (10530) | 2 months ago | I don't live with my parents, my dad lives with me and I support him because he's now old ans stricken in years. I call him every day, but not on the phone. We can talk of anything under the sun. My mom died nine years ago so I don't have a mother to talk to. I am just grateful that my dad is still alive to see his son and his grandsons and granddaughter.

3. jaiho2009 (1264) | 2 months ago | Hello karen,
I live far from my parents and from my siblings. But i don't missed them that much coz,we always call each other almost everyday and send text messages everyday.
And,i am also thankful for this internet,i am able to see them thru webcam. My mom and i used to chat everyday so,in this manner i don't missed her absence.
And,i always tried to visit my siblings 2 times a year during December break and summer vacation.

karenkarenkk (399) | 2 months ago | Hello, Jaiho, so do you spend quite a lot on your phone charge? Is the communicational charge in your country expensive? It's quite expensive here, only about half hours talking spend one-tenths of my daily earning. My parents do not know how to use a computer, so we never chat by internet.
Thanks for your response and have a nice day.

| 4. fernandezmindoro (89) | 2 months ago | As for me. I do not live with my parents. But I have to admit it's like I never left home. I only live 5-10 minutes away. So I usually drop by every other day. But when I'm not there I'm usually talking to my mom on the webcam or on the phone. Speaking of which, I should really just move back home...save some money on rent...

| 5. grimsage (13) | 2 months ago | Well, I've moved out of my parents house about 3 years ago and I rarely call them but this is due to the fact that my mom calls me almost every day. Most of the time she calls to see how am I doing and making small talk and rarely about a real problem/issue/concern/question.

| |
|
|
|
| grimsage (13) | 2 months ago | The problem is that I can't keep up and call her before she calls me:D, but now and then I try to phone her first;) Have a nice day and happy mylotting to you too.

6. daliaj (2746) | 2 months ago | I live in a state different from my parents. I used to live with them for twenty one years of my life and now I am enjoying freedom and learning many things being away from home. I miss my home and parents. I am having a busy work schedule and it is not easy for me to find time to make calls to them often. But, I call them once in a week and they do the same to me.

karenkarenkk (399) | 2 months ago | Hello, Daliaj, you are so lucky to stay with your parents till you are twenty. When I was only 17, I leave my hometown and studaying in another city, where is far away and I only back home twice a year. I am homesick at the first semester, sometimes, I cry on the phone while talking to my parents...

9. dodo19 (4182) | 2 months ago | I don't live with my parents. I live with my husband, two hours away from our parents as we go to university two hours away from where they live. I don't really talk to my parents very often. I'm not really close to my parents. I'd probably say that I talk to my grandmother and my mother-in-law more often than I do with my parents. I just don't really have a great relationship with either of them.
| |
| |
|
|
karenkarenkk (399) | 2 months ago | Hello, Dodo, I believe some people are more closed to their mother-in-law than to their parents. Relationship need to be build by bothside...
| |
|
|
dodo19 (4182) | 2 months ago | Yes, I agree with you. A relationship should be based by both sides. Both should work on the relationship. Otherwise it doesn't really work.

10. ckyera (2326) | 2 months ago | hello karen!
how are you/
me, i also don't live with my parents but i just call them once in a week...hehe but that was a hole day talk through texting, anyway its not because we don't have much things to talked about, but because they are also busy and in just one day, we can talked everything & anything and that's enough for us...that way we don't missed each other that much...but when we saw each other...wow! haha we can talk almost the whole day! about just anything...hehe

ckyera (2326) | 2 months ago | hi karen...
well that's one good thing about living in the village...we can plant our own food and life is more simple... something that i miss now that i am living in the city...
10 days storage in the fridge? huh! isn't the veggies get rotten? me, i also store some foods in the fridge, say meat, chicken, eggs, veggies...but just for few days and a week being the longest... but anyway, i think if it is properly stored, then it will still be good for consumption...
| |
|
|
karenkarenkk (399) | 2 months ago | Yeah, the food are becoming very bad after long period storage. I try to throw them away when my parent-in-law is not at home. Their hometwon is very far away from mine, and we have quite a big different habit...
| |
|
|
ckyera (2326) | 2 months ago | mmmm, well i guess with veggies, long storage is not really recommended...
so you are living with your in laws?
| |
|
|
karenkarenkk (399) | 2 months ago | Yeah, Once they keep some meet for a long time and want to feed my son. I say don't let him eat it, I will eat it. My mother-in-law seems are not so happy, and my fater-in-law really frighten me, he said, what does that matter, even meat kept in refrigerator for half year, it can be eat...
I just try not to oppose them directly, as I know my mother-in-law do not like that...
| |
|
|
ckyera (2326) | 2 months ago | aww...well, that's really a common problem when we are living with our in laws, coz we have different beliefs & way of raising our children...that's why i don't wish of living with my inlaw...well, i like her & i love her, but yeah, im afraid that we may clash if we live on the same roof! hehe but i know she's a good mom in law...and maybe im not a good daughter in law..hehe just kidding...
anyway, i think meat is just good when in fridge just for a week... that's just what i think. maybe you can try telling those things to your husband, so that he can help you in explaining to his parents... so don't you have plans of living to other house instead?

karenkarenkk (399) | 2 months ago | Hello, Ckyera, thanks a for coming back again.
Actually I asked my parent-in-law to live with us. We are living together only for about half month. My son used to lived with my parent in another city. I miss my son very much so we ask my parent-in-law come to live with us for several months and taking care of my son. My parent-in-law are living in a west-north city, and we are living in the south, they only agree to stay here when the weather is not hot...
Yeah, I may ask my husband to talk to them... But I am a little worry my mother-in-law will think it's me telling my husband all bout those, and the relationship will get worse...
