I don't have a garden of vegetables or fruits. before i tried to plant some local vegetables that can easily be grown even in a small pot. but that was long time ago. and usually i don't have the patience to grow my own vegetables now and also i don't have any fruit tree. the only fruit tree still for so many years until now have not bear fruit and so i am not counting on it to bear any fruit.

back in my province we have cornland in my sister's wide land and we have also fruit trees and vegetables planted in our backyard. since i was a kid i was always helping my father in harvesting. the last time i did corn harvesting was almost 2 years ago because i moved here in the city after that. my father will again harvest this month and really wish to help him again, i did plant them too, i know how to do it coz im a province girl,hehehe.. planting vegetables and fruit trees and harvesting them is really a lot of fun. i suggest you have to try planting any kinds of vegetables because it is so good to see them growing and you taking care of them until you harvest them. you would love it.

We have a small frontyard garden at home. We have no backyard LOL. My dad planted some local leafy vegetables and some lemon grass. I just get enough green leaves and lemongrass to cook for example soup for lunch. Then a small portion outside the gate,my dad planted some okra and I had harvested okra almost daily for a month now. Everytime I go out and get some I would pick some 10 or 12 okra to be used for cooking. But these past few days, I have not harvested some because some neighbors were already asking for okra nd other green leafy veggies. So we just let them get the okra although these latest batch were smaller in size. Next week maybe the okra patch will no longer be there coz my dad will remove them and begin to plant new seeds.
And I have harvested some green unripe mangoes from the neighbors' LOL because I can easily access it from the terrace.

hello hotsummer!
i am not also good in planting any plant, but i do experience harvesting some fruits & veggies... i think the last time i do it was last year...when i am still living in the province.
my friend there have her garden where she plants some 'okra', eggplant, sponge gourd (patola) and some corn...
and that garden is very near to my house and so whenever i saw some veggies that can be harvested, i picked it! hehe
its a nice experience harvesting veggies & fruits...and eat them right after...hmmm so fresh!
but the most challenging experience in harvesting that i experience is harvesting lanzones...& rambutan, but that was long time ago...

Hi Hotsummer, before i get married, i do harvest a few types of fruits in my family garden. Although the garden is just a small garden, but my father able to plant a few types of fruit trees. So whenever the fruit season is coming, my sister and i will be the persons to go into the garden to harvest the fruits. It tastes very nice when we are able to eat fresh fruits from our own garden. Now, i don't have much time to take care fruit tree anymore, so i don't plant any fruit tree in my home. I prefer to go and buy fruits, whenever i want to eat fruit.
