| | Dual monitors are really useful specially if you are editing. In editing and graphics studios maximum systems are equipped with dual monitors for ease of their editing task, for home use also it can be of great help. You need to have Chipsets or dual monitor Graphics card for that. If you have already any of those you can setup dual monitors easily. After connecting both of the monitors start your computer and you will see same screens in both monitors. Right click on desktop, go to properties, settings tab and you can set the monitors from there. | | | | | | | syndrix (367)

| | for dual monitor/screen/video display terminal: First, take a look of your PC if you are using "onboard-Video Graphic Adapter or for short it is built-in VGA", if so then all you have is to buy a splitter device for VGA that splits you one (1) output video into two (2) so that you can view/watch into two different screen/monitor/LCD. Second, check if your VGA is add-on card - meaning this is plug&play that sit or inserted in the AGP/PCI Express slot. If this so check again the VGA output is 1. D-SUB15 2. DVI 3. S-Video? Most of VGA Card todays is coming with this output package. If the VGA output is only one (1) D-Sub15 then your option is to used or buy the splitter device, if it is with D-Sub15 and DVI then you can used two monitor or if you are lucky it is came with S-Video and this will make you screen triple but only used in TV because of its S-Video port. | | | | | | | Local Electronic Stores Find Local Electronics Stores & Get yellowpages.com | add comment | | | |

| | The normal procedure for this is that you have one base unit or system unit and then your two monitors connected to the single base unit. With the single monitor you are using at the moment, is this plugged into an onboard graphics port? Or, do you actually have a graphics card installed in a pci express or agp slot? Anyway, sorry about the technical bit. You have to insert another graphics card into one of your pci slots and then you plug one monitor into the port on this card and the other monitor you keep plugged into the port you are using at the moment. Once you boot up your system both monitors will be recognised. However, you need to go into Display Properties, right click on your desktop and do this and then under one of the settings there you should have a picture of two monitors, you need to enable this. Good luck, it's quite an easy process all the time. If you install another graphics card into your computer though make sure you are careful and that you ground yourself, you can do this by touching a metal port at the back of your pc before touching anything inside. Good luck. Andrew | | | | | | | | | | Software Programmer B.S. Gain Practical Skills w/ a Bachelor - Software Application Programming EducationDegreeSource.com/Online | add comment | | | |
