Isn't it unfair?

Hello mylotters. Just recently I've posted a discussion here at myLot entitled "How Did You Discover myLot?" After a day my discussion got deleted and I don't know why. Other myLotters said that maybe it's because the topic I started had similar topics that had been posted before. Now I found out that there are also many topics with similar titles being posted and has not been deleted. A good example of it is the discussion entitled "Are You a Morning Person?" How is that?

When we join and reguster here at myLot we agree to the Terms of Use. In them it is stated
"We also reserve the right to delete any discussion without notification to any myLot member."
If you think that is unfair then maybe you should not have agreed to it?
Possibly your discussion was a topic that has been discussed many times and as myLot ask us to post quality content, they thought it should be deleted.
Before posting a new topic you can search in the bar above. Insert a few words of your topic and then highlight 'discussions' and if other discussions have already been posted they will appear.
Make yourself aware of the Guidelines and please do not be surprised if this discussion is also removed too.

Yes I agree that they can delete my discussions without notifications but I can't understand their grounds on deleting mine. If it is because that it has similar discussions then why is it that those other discussions with similar posts too are still their? Say for example the discussion entitled "Are You a Morning Person?" It's still there. Maybe there's some other reasons right? I just want to know to avoid in the future cause far as I know I haven't violated any of their guidelines on that certain discussion of mine. Well it's okay if they delete this one. :)

I think the admins are on a general clean-up of late by what I see and the number of posts being removed.
I can see your concern for the 'morning person' dicussions as I went and searched for them. MyLot do ask users to help report violations so when you see any similar you can help too and you can report those which are concerning you. Now that I am aware of what you have seen I shall report them too.

Oh so somebody has reported my discussion. Hahaha. Now I've done it to my fellow myLotters. Sorry to the discussion owner. But it's for the fairness and equality right? So I'll help. Now I know. Thank you for really digging things up to give the answer I need. Well speaking of reporting, are you talking about the report abuse button? What are we suppose to write there when we're going to report a certain topic?

I think there are random checks that are happening here and there. I think what is more unfair are for those who answered in the started discussions that got deleted. I think the number of post they had would also be deducted if the discussion they answered were deleted.

I had read discussions concerning the deletion of some post and some came to the conclusion that the post they replied got deleted that is why when they thought they reached the minimum for the month, they were surprised to see that the number of their posts had declined.
I think everybody should be cautious in replying if just to be safe in case. Avoid replying in redundant discussions and discussions that violate the rules in myLot like things that talk about milestones here in mylot and stuffs like that.
Hope you create new discussions and respond also in sensible and legal discussions to avoid misunderstandings.

It's of course impossible to know, once it's been deleted, why your topic was deleted!
There are lots of rules and regulations to be careful about. And it might not have even been you who was at fault. It could be that somebody posted a response that violated the t+c's. If somebody posted an affiliate link or talked about their earnings or did any of the other things that we're not supposed to do, then it could have led to myLot deleting the whole discussion.
It is a bit unfair on you if this is what happened, but rules are rules!

hello again shadow.
you have to be careful of what you post. some similar topics are being seen y the mylot admin and i tell you they won't think twice of deleting your post. be creative in ways of creating a topic. it would be reasonable to have a topic deleted because of the content but it would be hard if the discussion is deleted because simply of the title. just be careful @UCantSeeMe (116)

yeah it is a bit unfair considering the millions of posts they have probably had with similar titles that noone ever responds to because they were posted so long ago. all i can say is try rewording the titles it might be that thats how they decides what stayes and what goes.
