Is there any legit dataentry or captcha projects?

No I don't think data entry is legit, because when I saw the ad, they want you to give them a payment, to join if you looking for a job, you don't have to pay to get hired, that why there are so many, scams on the internet, you have to be careful with some of this stuff on the internet.

I am a member of PixProfit, it's free to join and the only requirements are that you have a PayPal or Webmoney account to get paid and that you understand English. This site is for captcha entry work and I have been paid once by them and am awaiting my second payout requested yesterday. Minimum cashout is at $3.01 (despite it saying $3).I must warn you though that they pay $1 per 1000 captchas so it will depend mostly upon your typing speed/internet connection as to how quickly you can achieve payout.
For instance, I'm average 40 wpm typing and it takes me about 6 hours to earn the $3. Another point to remember is that some of the captchas are barely illegible, are a mixture of capital and small case letters, some are not even words you will find in the English language and some are a mixture of letters and numbers, or all number, all small case or all capitals.
If you do decide to sign up (pixprofit.com)roughly the first 30 captchas are not credited just for them to see what you are capable of. After that, each time you log in you will see what your priority is, from 0 (the best) to 9 (the worst!).The better your priority, ie. whether 0 or 1, the more chance you have of getting work with them.

You could always go down the other route of Freelance websites like GetAFreelancer, EUFreelancer, oDesk, Elance and PeoplePerHour.

When it comes to data entry, you won't find any legit sites unless you are asked to pay a fee, and that you should enver do. They should pay you to owrk for them, not the other way around. Thsoe sites as far as I am concerned, are scams, so stay away from them. I am also a member of pixprofit, but I have made to many mistakes, so the pictures won't load for me, so I don't go back and een try. It is like the other user said, the codes can be difficult to read at times, and they are to be typed as written. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
