many times my drive to succeed if fueled by many wrong reasons. like i want to be better than others cause i want to feel superior in a way. like i am more good at them in some areas. that was when i was very young then and i was too much competitive. but as i get older , it was because i want to hide my insecurities beneath my success, and so i tried to do good at something so that people will focus on my strength than on my weakness so that they will not notice my weakness. sometimes like i want to have a revenge of some sort and prove to people that they were wrong and that i can be good like them or better than them if they once ridiculed on that area.
but now i don't want to prove any thing to people. if i want to succeed it is just because it is what i really want to accomplish in life regardless if people will see it or not. as long as it will make me happy being successful in that area, then i will want to do every thing to succeed. and i don't plan to show others how successful i am . what i want is to be successful at something i really want to succeed on and just keep it a secret to myself or with some of people i know and just enjoy the success to myself without showing off to other people.
i want to stay simple or act like i don't have anything to brag about. but it does not mean i succeeded already in my plan in life. i just wish i do. but if i do i plan to keep it low and quiet and just keep things to myself. i don't want others to know specially if that will make me look proud.

When i was a student, i strived to be good or successful because of competition. Now that i am working, i strive to be better in what i do because i owe it to my employer for giving me my fair monthly salary. I must admit, though that i want to do better to avoid humiliation and doing dangerous mistakes that could cost the company millions on errors and ommissions. I guess, now that i am older, i have grown in security because i do not compete with anyone anymore. It is good that you have diverted your striving to a positive tone.

yeah it feels good when we work hard not because we want to compete with others but only to improve our lives and help others as well.
