Thank you, sarahruthbeth....In B.C. (on the West Coast) I am sure MANY wished there had never been a Thanksgiving, poor dear travellers were stranded everywhere trying to make the trek home, and that was just within the Province. B.C. Ferries which run between Vancouver & Vancouver Island, had a fire aboard the Spirit of Vancouver...so it was decommissioned, and all other back-ups were in re-fit! Created and 8 hour backlog. Air Canada, had a computer glitch, that cancelled ALL flights, so persons were stranded here, there and everywhere! We were also HIT with an Artic Front (broke over 80 COLD records)so those that stayed at home, had frozen pipes....and power outages! So, for some....it was really hard to find something to be "thankful" for! TRULY....THANK YOU, for the kind thoughts and good wishes....and I truly, also hope that we "Canucks" ironed out all the glitches...so your's in November will be smooth sailing! Cheers!

Good morning..again! I just noted that you are 2.5 hrs. difference that here, so you must be in the Midwest! Yes...normally there is a large feast, hence all the travellers, and hence ouris is always held the second Monday in October, as being North of the 49, Fall sets in sooner! Oft the meal of choice is, of course, Turkey...but depending of rural/city! Rural folks tend more to have a Wild Game feast...and Urban, the Turkey! I live on a small Island, so our feast is usually Seafood...as this is the first Month the Ocean has cooled down enough to Harvest Shellfish, and the Cod & Salmon season is open....and, of course, with garden harvest, and the almighty Pumpkin served in many forms! I truly admire you American neighbour's...how you can rally a huge feast at Thanksgiving....and rally for Xmas & New Years...JUST 4 weeks later! WOW! Have a great day & Cheers!
