Tonight I decided to make Salmon for dinner, there is just one small problem. I am sick of the old way that I usually make my salmon and I am looking for a new way to spice things up. Do you know of any good Salmon dishes that I can make? what about side dishes? what would you recommend to go with my salmon? I was thinking veggies but that just seems very boring and I would like something to make my family really enjoy dinner tonight.

Hi Crivas. Have you grilled a salmon yet? If not try it soak a board in water over night so it won't burn when you put it on the grill. While that is cooking take some vegetables and wrap them in tin foil season them first and cook that on the grill too at the same time. It takes the vegetables a little longer to cook. We cook like this all summer what vegetables we cook depends on what we have fresh out of the garden.

Sounds yummy. This is something that I haven't tried, and I actually think that it would be something that my kids would love too. Thanks so much.

OOOOh, last week I had some skewered shrimp grilled on a cedar plank. It had southwestern seasonings on it and was very good. Rosemary and garlic are wonderful on salmon.

It is good. And the good thing about it it is actually good for you too. We try and cook every thing healthy. Have you tried french fried squash or sweet potatoes. They are good. We cook them just like you would cook french fries the good thing about it is if people don't like squash or sweet potatoes it will get them to at least taste them. And they are good too and good for you.

I have brushed it with honey and lemon and ginger before, but I really like it pretty plain, cooked on a grill pan, skin side down. Do you often get to eat salmon. We don't, at least not as often as we would like. Since it is spring, I would like asparagus or brussels sprouts with my salmon, but kids do not always like those. I would do a rice pilaf as that is one of my favorite things for a side dish. A salad of fresh baby greens would taste good as well, or mixed fresh fruit.

Actually it's funny, but that is the way that I usually make mine. I am looking for something a little different but thanks anyway.
