What is the best way to cook a steak?

What is the best way to cook a steak? Do you prefer grill, oven, or stovetop? What do you marinate your steaks in and for how long? Do you have a favorite cut of steak? I like steak any of the three ways listed above. I think my favorite would have to be on the grill. I don't know too much about the cut of steak, but lately we've been doing New York strip steak and it turns out pretty tender and delicious!

If i have a t-bone, or strip steak i like it done on the grill. i usually do not marinate it in anything, just season it with salt pepper, and some garlic.
But their have been a few times that i have marinated them in BBQ sauce overnight. I have a friend that likes hers that way, so when she is going to be here i do them that way. and they are pretty good that way.
My favorite steak is prime rib, i i like it done rare.......
