He he.......Who told you this funny thing?....That is too old..In now days marriages is not decided by parents......All things decided by boy or girl themselves........And parents have to be agree with them.....and also parents are also becoming advance....They are giving permissions to their children to decide about the thing themselves.......So change your mind now........

I would like to add here as an indian that it is still true that arranged marriages still are the way of getting married in INdia . Some urban people are going in for love marriages but still more than 90% marriages are arranged marriages .

I can understand the reasons these marriages happen this way.
The Italians and the Greeks (Old families) still arrange Marriage.

Many do not like them and many think this is the way.

Each to their own its not up to us to judge others here, How do we know what is best.

It is good in many ways if both families work together for the couple.
The support is great and the marriage will last as both Families will support and help where needed.

For one of the couple to do wrong is to shame the family, and Both Families dio not want that and have ways to resolve the problem be it the man or the wife.
