Now I can answer your query. I went to her profile and to her activity. If you do likewise you will see that all the 'comments' that were made on that discusion, not just the one on yours, have been removed. You will see why when you reach them in the activity.

MyLot ask us for quality and anything that does not fit that description is removed.

I don't know what's with mylot but I just checked suzzy3's profile and it was just fine. Her last activity or response was an hour after I posted this discussion. Sorry for the lateness of the update but we have different time zones. I hope we could continue this discussion so we could somehow identify what really happened. Thank you!

Go back a couple of pages in the activity. You will see the comments to each and every response were a smilie

I have seen other discussions where the original poster just leaves smilies as comments and they are removed. Not really quality right?

mylot doesn't pay for small responses so there's no need to delete them. Here on mylot discussions are removed for one reason alone, other members. If another member wants your comment or discussion deleted, your comment or discussion will be deleted. Maybe having may people on your friends list is not wise here, as you will find many of your discussions being deleted without violating any terms. You will routinely find that if you have many friends here that you will have discussions that follow all rules deleted. I did one earlier with the title of a money making site in the title, a full description of the pros and cons, the date the site was created. There was no discussion with any detail about the site on mylot already so I made one for those who would want to know more information about the site. Did not direct anyone to my profile like other discussions here that are not deleted, did not put a referral link or ask anyone to join the program. But the discussion was deleted. To sum it up for you, If you have alot of friends on your friends list than you will get many more discussions deleted. I think someone saw that you made a short response and decided to report it so it was deleted. Mylot is regulated by it's members, not by admin. If you look you will find many discussions that violate TOS that are posted for months and even years. This is one of the bad things about mylot, ADMIN lets members run the site. I could go and get every discussion deleted if I really want to. Hopefully I am not deleted for letting you know how it works here. take care and happy posting.

Are you sure on this information? What are your basis for saying such a thing? I know that politics exist everywhere but it didn't come to my mind that there would be this king of issue here in mylot. I wish to learn more from this, as of this moment I wouldn't believe anything you say unless you show some proof and not just a conspiracy theory. By the way, we, myself and others who responded in this discussion, have sorted it out already. We have arrived in a conclusion that the comment given is somewhat inappropriate in terms of having or engaging in a healthy discussion. Anything that would support your theory would do and we'll start from there but I'm not saying I'm gonna believe you if you happen to post something that would support your statement.

I would have to respectfully disagree with what is being said here. I have worked in online community management and moderation for over ten years and I have yet to have a client that had any vested interest in removing good content from its site. There is absolutely no value to doing that and, overall, a site's administration is bound by its own terms and conditions. Yes, it's true that sites indemnify themselves and state that they can remove content without explanation - in most cases, that is because they have no "delete letter" or advising process in place that tells members why their content was removed. To implement such a process is expensive and, often times, members choose to ignore the explanations or they have correspondence sent to an email address they don't even check, so there is no value gained for the cost expended.

Any site administration that would allow members to dictate moderation would be on the fast track to failure. Every site I've managed or worked on has had a documented paper trail in place that justified each and every piece of content deleted. If a moderator deleted content without reason, their job certainly hung in the balance. MyLot, like many sites, is a business. They rely on participation here to generate revenue. The more they delete or the more accounts they close, that diminishes earning potential one little bit at a time. Yes, there is a reporting or escalation function in place. Generally, these functions are a courtesy for the members to highlight what that they feel is objectionable. It draws admin/moderator attention to potentially problematic situations but it is the responsibility of those individuals, per their job description, to objectively evaluate and make a decision based on TOS and guidelines in place. Any professionally trained moderator that does not work objectively is not going to be in the field for long.

Now this is a more logical explanation. So my friend, francisco, do you still stand by your theory or is it really a fact and you have some proof to show? I respect your opinion but we really cannot give out statements that could generally degrade someone or some services offered by a certain company without certain proof or a single evidence to back it up.

If you have lots of friends here your bound to have things deleted, members are the ones who get things deleted here by reporting them, not an active admin going throgh 1000's of comments and discussions everyday, It's members, some of which abuse the power and admin doesn't check to see if anything is really violating any terms, they are just deleted.

I think you must be right as how on earth can they read them all.

Maybe they have a program to filter comments with less than five words or something. It's feasible if you think of it that way. In all honesty, I really don't know what or how they delete or detect such posts. Maybe what thinkingoutloud posted above explains everything.

It's clear now that this is not a glitch or someone was banned. It's just that mylot admins needed more content from the comments that's why they deleted the comments and not the whole discussion
