From the local ones I like The Black Box Revelation
They remind of The White Stripes because they're also just 2 musicians and love their style!

my foreign band is Avenged sevenfold,blink 182,dream theater,etc
and my local band is netral , sid, and other attractive bands

I don't really like local band, I do not fans for trendy music or band that easy come and easy go. I love Green Day since I was in Junior High when I was Fifteen now it has been like 13 years I become a fans of Green Day. Other band I like is Dashboard Confessional, The Ataris, MXPX, My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds To Mars, Sum 41, Good Charlotte, and Avenged Sevenfold. Most of this band are rock bands influented by Hardcore, Emo and Punk and I really like this kind of music. Besides bands I also like Kelly Clarkson voice, Avril Lavigne, Jordin Sparks and Miley Cyrus. This time my music attention leads to Miley Cyrus. I don't espect before that She really can sing many music genres from punk, hiphop, rock, pop, dance to ballad. I already hear all her songs, what an extraordinary talent and her music are great to hear. No wonder she has became a diva and singing sensation although she's just only sixteen. I don't like blink182, I prefer bands or singer that have deep emotional lyric and music or unique skill technique in music.

for local band, i like the super insurgent group of intemperance talent a.k.a the s.i.g.i.t. their work was so powerful and has strong appeal. local people who hear it for first time, would not thought that it is local work.
for outer band, i have many references and surely its so subjective
