why does a person feel sleepy after eating?

Either a meal after breakfast, lunch or dinner, we feel sleepy or something like we want to go back in bed and have a nap.

I think it's because after eating you tend to have too much sugar in your body which maybe the cause why you feel sleepy after eating. :)

Yes, you are right. Sugar plays a vital role in the blood vessels in the body. They are the nutrients that fully fill-in and gives us carbohydrates. If you say "sugar" it is not the literal meaning of sugar that being use in making a coffee. When we say sugar, this is the nutrients that form the carbohydrates in our body, that when the sugar levels reach the equilibrium level, our stomach or if may say the digestive organs will stop for a while and will have their relaxation for the meantime.
