| How long does a baby shower usually last?  | | | |  I am hosting a baby shower in a little over a month and was wondering how long it should last. Two hours? Three hours? Do you put the start and end time on the invitations that are sent out or do you just put a start time and let the party end when it ends? Help! Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

| |  I am not an expert but I think it will last about 2 1/2 hours. Just enough time for lunch, coffee and cake, games and gift opening. I think once all the gifts are open, you can ask the person receiving the shower to thank everyone for coming and I think they can take a hint after that. People rarely over stay their shower welcome because it's usually a weekend afternoon and they might be a little more dressed up than usual and they will want to go home.
