How to Deal with an Evil Boss? |
|
I know someone who goes through emotional and mental torture inflicted by her boss. THere are several times that he has threatened to fire her or charge her for missing items that were clearly not her responsibility for maintenance and security. This has been going on for quite awhile and she has tendered resignations many times, but each time her boss would talk her out of it.
Has any of you had similar experiences?

| prettycho (39) | 1 month ago | Thanks. I have been telling her the same thing. Her boss always make threats about firing her. It's funny because she could easily get another job with her qualifications. I guess she has grown to love the company and the people on it as well as the fact that she is the type to dread having to deal with a major change in her life.

Or I will file complaints and seek help from labor offices to report him first so that that evil boss can be prevented accusing her of leaving the company without leave because she stole something.
Ask her to seek the help of somebody else preferably someone in the authority and leave the job ASAP.

| prettycho (39) | 1 month ago | Thank you. I think I would have to ask her to read all posts here to convince that what she is subjected to is definitely not normal. I guess, we Filipinos are of the timid type. It's not ask if she would have trouble finding another job.

| prettycho (39) | 1 month ago | This is definitely a sound advice coming from you. And I would have to agree, the best way to dispute accusations and threats would be to show him facts and records. I guess there are just some people who does not have qualms mentally and emotionally torturing other people.

4. scheng1 (1656) | 1 month ago | Hi Prettycho, your friend is too weak. She should find a new job, and then tendered resignation. In this case, her boss will not be able to talk her into staying in the job. Since she has cried wolf so many times, and taken no action, she's putting up with all the mental tortures. Sorry to say that I dont feel sorry for her, she could have taken action to get herself out of this situation. I pity those who cannot quit the job because of the bond. Some of them signed for three years bond, and they couldn't just quit. These are the ones who cannot quit even though they been through all kind of mental torture.

Hope she have found a good job now.
