slot machines - a way to relieve stress =)

my parents who are now 50 years old above are frequenting an amusement gaming area in the mall which is like a slot machine only that they use tokens instead of real coins. Winning 106 tokens was the best for me, but for them they get like 217 or 196 tokens in one play. They are really great in playing the game. My mom said that its their way of bonding with my father which is good. Its also a way for them to relieve their stress from everyday challenges.
If it makes them feel good, thats great for me. Winning in slot machines though makes the people think that they are earning and having or at least getting the feel of having a lot of money (imagining that theyre real and not just tokens). I think thats what makes the people drive to play in those kinds of games. I actually got hooked one time and one win is not enough for me, I felt like I had to keep going because If I won once then I can win again. =)
What is your say on this? Why do you play on slot machines?

Yes it's a really good way to relieve stress. I play on them too. But you must also set an amount you can afford to lose. Yes they're only tokens but you're paying real money to buy tokens. If you lose much money then I don't think it's a stress reliever anymore. More stress that is. :) Happy gaming to you!!!
