We all know people with depression may consider suicide or many have attempted or completed suicide. But what about the people who attempt a suicide and have to recover from that suicide? If someone made a documentary about how difficult it is to recover from a serious suicide attempt, how to deal with family members and friends and their responses to that attempt, would you watch it? The main question left for people who have lost a loved one to suicide is "Why?" If a documentary could explain the "Why" by exploring the disease of depression and how difficult it is to live with it, would you watch it? I ask because I'm trying to get a documentary made about this because I've survived a suicide attempt and it's been a long road back to my life. Would you want to see this? Would you watch it?

I would certainly watch to increase my knowledge and understanding of it. Who knows that knowledge might become handy sometime. I actually have watched a documentary about the subject years back. Two points that struck me most were, a lot of those who attempted to end their lives realized the folly of what they have done seconds after the act was done. Those who jumped from a high place, on their way down, regretted their actions and were thankful they survived. The next point is those who have once committed suicide and survived are most likely to do it again.
The documentary ended in a reminder for everyone to treat every suicide attempt as serious. Don't ever think that the person is not serious and he is only joking.

enjoy life!

Honestly, most likely not..reason being I am a surivor not only of attempts of my own but also have lost a few ppl to suicide so I'm pretty familiar with it all and wouldnt need to watch a doc. about it..I htink the only way or rather reason I would watch is just to see what the creators opinion of it all was but it'd not be a "must" on my list of things to watch ya kow...

i would watch this video and encourage others to watch it to.
this topic is a passion of mine and i understand your want for others to understand because ive been there too.

i was lucky enough that a friend caught me just before i made the fatal move. i was lucky she didnt come five minutes later.

its hard to explain to people what pushes you to that limit and why you want to do this for yourself. i am an amatuer short story writer and poet and this is what a lot of my work focuses on. not only to help others understand but to help myself better understand also and therefore cope with were ive been and where im going.

what about the kids who fail to get to the attempt? is that something you'll cover to? maybe signs that people may be able to recognise in others and ways to approach them so that they dont have to deal with the outcome.

i do hope you succeed in making your documentry. please do. if you post it anywhere publicly, i definately want to see it.
