eye shut  | |  My cat has his eye shut. Everytime he is stressed, he gets this. It's some sort of a chronic problem. It never heals. It is always draining, but now it is shut. I am going to go to the vet tomorrow, even though we don't have the money too, as he seems listless. He is eating though. Any comments or thoughts on this?

I'd be worried that kitty is battling an upper respitory infection or has an eye issue, such as an ulcer, that is causing the drainage. When one of our persians had a corneal ulcer several years ago, it got some bad and so inflammed at one point that her eye was swollen shut. Hope that it's not anything major!

He is under the bed, and I cannot get him out to give him the med. It was $85. for the visit, tests and rx. A bit more than we could handle now, but, he is one of the family. God bless you. | |
