I saw on TV a show, where artists, singers, important peoples, accept just for one day to work for free in poor kids or old persons benefits.I admire them a lot, just because they accept to change theirs expensive clothes, and go in a restaurant, or in a school, or in a factory, to work for free, and all money they earn donate in a cont for poor peoples food.
Is not to much , but is something, and is a step to try to help peoples who are not so lucky to have a good life.
If somebody come to you and ask you to work just for one day for poor kids or old, and money you will give for this persons medicine and food, you will be agree?
I know that in this times, for all is very hard, and are so many poor peoples, who don t have money for food or for bills, but sometimes when we see real poor peoples who don t have any money just for brad, we can say that we are lucky.
So....you can work for free one day from your life for others?

Hey, ice, if I had a chance, I would do. I'm realizing that maybe it's my dream. I really hope I can work for those who needs my helps in the future. But now I have no chance.
Yes, I can donate money or things to them, but I seldom do it indeed. There are many limits, such as I cannot find a reliable organization. And also many disappointing news.
I hope I have a chance to work for them directly, face to face. I really wish it should be true in near future!

Hi icesmile, definitely. But there should be a place that needs our help - help of volunteers. It would be nice if we could register ourselves with a couple of organizations and when need be they called us up. Unfortunately, there is no such arrangement as of now.

dear ice,
you mean voluntary charity works. it is a noble kind of work because needy people are given help by others who are much in a better position than they are.
our country just had a calamity with 2 typhoons coming in one after another. may people were displaced and lost their homes. i pity them so much. the only thing that those who do not have money to help them out is to donate used clothing, blankets and extra food.
i had my share of voluntary work. i went to a tv station together with some friends and packed clothings and food items which will be sent to those affected by the floods. ended the day with a wondeful feeling and a happy thought that i could be of help.
