The problem with ebooks is that there's no way for you to browse through it and preview the information it contains before you purchase it. With traditional books, you at least know what you're getting when you get it.
Anyone can write a preview or testimony saying that the ebook is "definitely a good investment." In fact, I avoid any site that boasts a bunch of testimonies along with the product for sale. Those testimonies are all part of how the ebook's writer/publisher market it. Most of the time they aren't real anyway.
Like the other person said, you're invariably better off going to Google and hunting for the information yourself rather than paying for it.
