What do you do on New years eve?

On a new year eve i party with my friends and the next day i go for a picnic with my parents.In this way i spend my time with both of them.

I have not made plans for New Years Eve yet. Simply depends on various circumstances what we will do.
I would sure like to be with my mom in law for New years Eve cause somehow we dont spend enough time with her but I dont know about her plans. Also am not sure whether we could find an escape to NOT see one of my sisters in law then what we sure both dont care about and dont fine enjoyable to put it politely-

But if that doesnt materialize I think we will stay home. We will however hopefully go to church that evening and then just have a nice dinner, maybe watch TV and wait for the last minutes of 2009 which was a good year so far, to be over.

Well, as for me, my family and friends all get together... We have like a Pajama Party, we drink, dance and have a big meal! And whoever can't drive has their Pajamas and a toothbrush in the morning! lol... It is always fun! My aunt always has been a good host!

Last New Year was our first in Spain, and it was fabulous. One of our neighbours laid on food and drinks for a crowd of us, then at 11.30 we took a couple of people carriers into the village square. We were given hats, masks, garlands, streamers and grapes. (It's a Spanish custom to eat 1 grape on each strike of the clock at midnight - virtually impossible, but it's fun trying). We had a few drinks in the bars in the square, saw in the New Year, then came back to the bar on our estate.

In the UK, taxis, drinks and everything else is megabucks on New Year's Eve, but we paid 4 euros each for the 5 mile round trip, and the same price as usual (1 euro for beer and wine, 2 euros for spirits) in the bars. On top of that, although everyone had had plenty to drink, there was no trouble - just hundreds of people of different nationalities out to have a good time. We're doing the same again this year - I can't wait!

We usually have a small gathering of family and friends. We have finger foods to eat and drinks of all kind. We watch the ball fall in New York on TV and have music playing. We talk, dance and wish for a better year to come. I end up going to bed about 3 in the morning. I remember one year when my girls were alot younger we were all in Pj's with the food and drinks but we played games all night. The girls were not feeling so good so instead of having people over that is how we spent New Years Eve.

Last year my husband and one of our friends had dinner at a Chinese restaurant. It was a bit of a strange experience, because the restaurant was almost empty. Most the staff left the restaurant while we were eating as they had nothing to do. Afterwards we went back to the village where we live, and had a few drinks and chatted for a while. At midnight we went out to watch the fireworks.

I am not sure what we are going to do this year. I thought that our friend would join us again like he usually does, but he said that he might spend the night at a single party instead. If he makes other plans my husband and I have talked about doing something different as well. We would like to spend the night at a hotel in a different part of the country.

During my early days when I was young and innocent, we don't stay up late and celebrate. My parents treat it as like any other day. When I became a Christian ten years ago, we spend the new year's eve listening to the Preaching of God's Word, having some games and fellowship until the early morning. It's a good practice to listen to God's Word on new year's eve.

not much,i used to sit and watch tv til midnight then go to bed,but the last couple of years i've gone to a neighbours party,not sure bout this year yet

We get together with friends and have a small party, and we usually watch the ball drop in new york on the tv. I always get a call from each of my kids at midnight.
