Lol ...well the time of Gandhiji has gone my friend. So what matters is that we must start adjusting to the world today .and its nowhere near the principles what gandhiji suggested.
See truth is what one can consider ...but to get amhinsa out of minds of people is real tough job ...and no one person can do it for us ...so all that we can do is try to keep those principles in our mind and behave accordingly.

Well. They are suitable for any period, I strongly believe. Nothing can be solved through violence, even if it is in reply to another act of violence. (Sadly it's what happening today. And those people would have now realised the value of ahimsa, but no use. They can't drop their arms now)

The principles which Gandhi adhered to, especially ahimsa are still valid in today's world. Violence changes nothing. Mao may have said that political change only comes at the barrel of a gun but the only change which is acheived that way is EXCHANGE, the exchange of one set of masters for another, as China has found out. Real change comes from within, from within the hearts and minds of all of us. As he said: "Be the change you wish to see in the world"

You have to live the change yourself and allow everyone else to see that, to give them an example and the opportunity to see for themselves that there is a better way.

Ahimsa is still relevant today and will remain so till the end of the world..
Every problem in the world can be solved by truth and the path of non-violence....
Truth alone prevails
