Contact First Or Just Added Them

Facebook contain a lot of user, some really looking for private use, and other want to added as many friend as possible. When you add friend in facebook, which you know the person in real life. Did you actually contact him first that you add him to make sure he / she approve your friend request or you just added them without contacting them.
As For me, i usually just added them, and after a few day, if there is no reply, i will contact them.

I use facebook for personal use only. I use it to connect with my friends from elementary until now, college. I also connect with my lecturers from it. So, I never add unknown people, strangers, or people whom I've never met in reality. Even if he/she have many mutual friends with me, if I don't know then I won't accept. Better to ask them first or simply ignore his/her friend request. I put some personal photos and information there, I simply don't want a strangers have free access to that I think it's better to always be careful in social networking sites

So you are a type who always ask first. It is good that way if you like to use facebook for a very private matter. But how many friend do you have in facebook? Do you actually contact every single of them before you add them to your friendlist, or only a few of them?

I have 177 friends now. I can't greet them all everytime I log in to my facebook account, but at least I know them in real life

LOL, yes you will never able to greet most of your friend in facebook, especially when you reach more then 50 friend. If you not make good use of your facebook friendlist group, you might not even able to keep up with your friend update, especially if you have a very active status updater in your facebook friendlist. Hello lordcaocao2025! If I know the person in real life, I just actually add him without sending them a message because I know that they will add me anyway. For me, I won't add people I don't know but when I know the person, I will add him/her immediately.

O I see, so you just add them with out confirming first in real life. Well either way it is good. And adding people that you only know will increase the privacy of your data. I too usually just add people that are my friend because they will surely approve me. But if they not accept me then it is most likely that my request get ignore accidentally because of my friend is facebook gamer that get many friend request from other gamers.

I usually just add them. I don't contact them unless it's to ask if I've got the right person. If they want to accept my friend request, then that's up to them. No pressure!

O i See. So you just add them, but if you feel uncertain about the person you about to add as your friend facebook then you will ask them. Well, i do this also, but i usually ask the person to receive me as their friend if they are not approve my friend request. But this only apply to close friend, if i don't really know the person, it is up to them to approve it.

I usually just add them. Anyway, I already know them in real life. Most of my friends are really active users in facebook and really addicted to it. But if there's any chance that there is no reply, I just let it. I'm always in touch with them through YM or text messages so I guess there's really no problem with that.

O i see. So you a person who just add them with out confirm it. Well, anyway, if you just add friend then that will be no problem, especially like you said, they are all are a very active user in facebook. Well if they not approve your request there is a possibility that they are ignore you accidentally, especially if your friend is a game user whose have many friend request from other gamers.
