so i live in a pretty out of the way area even though im like an hours drive from dc. i dont usually mind being out in the woods because its quiet and pretty and the air smells fresh but i have one big problem with where i live. i cant get any kind of highspeed internet unless you count sattelite and from what ive herad from people around here that have tried it it shouldnt be counted. so my question is has anyone been held back in the world because theyve been stuck with dial up and for those whove tried sattelite internet is there anyone whos liked it or had sucess with it?

that is weird. have you tried using your cellphone as a modem, it would be quite faster than dial up.

darling you really are trying and i appriciate that but no cell gets service in most of the area due to mountains blocking the signal.

I have luckily in the place with the broadband connection. i would like to be in any remote location but i prefer to get all th facilities there even too.
i think i will prefer the broad band connnection in any case. but when we dont have any option we can also compromise. earlier i used to use the dial up connection.
but now i cant use that as i am addicted of broadband.

ive used other peoples brodband connections wile visiting them and when i had a job and if i had the choice i would be addicted too. i realy wish i could have a tellicommuting tipe job but anyone hiring for that requires brodband so i guess my only options are to wait it out or move when i can.
