Hi friends, i've a 6 month old son, and i think that my son is having some teething problems. He's always salivating and puts everything into his mouth, and he has also started crying a lot lately. Is this a part of teething process, is there any way to soothe him? Please advice, it's driving me nuts!!!!!!

2. gowriv89 (191) | 3 months ago | Hi buddy.... hey relax man this is not at all teething problem... you know your son is growing new teeth so he will have some itching sensation in his gums... thats why he may bite every toy even in order to reduce the itching.... once teeth starts growing he will be all right... just wash his toys often so that he doesn't get any infection.... take good care of your son...

borhan (687) | 3 months ago | Some hard rubber made toys are found in baby stores. Generally once babies start doing these, those toys are given and they start chewing or biting them. What are these called? Probably teether. Am i correct? These teethers can be given to him for some relaxes.

3. athomice (221) | 3 months ago | Yes that's normal, you can ask his pedia for some oral ointment/gel for babies. My son's pedia gave him some oral gel but he doesn't like it and we gave him a teether and a pacifier (ask your dortor) to prevent him from putting his fingers/hands in his mouth. Ask your pedia for best solution.

4. Ldyjarhead (5167) | 3 months ago | Yes, sure sounds like teething to me.
Don't use drugs unnecessarily. One thing that worked for me was a wetting a washcloth in cold water and letting them chew on that. It's not so cold that they can't hold it (like a teething ring that was in the refrigerator or freezer), and gives them something soft to chew on for a bit of cool relief.
Make sure the washcloth is rinsed very well first, due to chemicals in laundry soap and fabric softener, etc. You don't want him to ingest something he shouldn't.

5. kent_help2smile (2073) | 3 months ago | I recommend that you watch your son very closely. As you mention everything puts in his mouth. That's really dangerous, you know? Try to put him in a place that where no small object/ stuff can me eaten or put on his mouth. I recommend to buy him a toothing stuff. This stuff is usually like a silicon or frozen gel. He might like it and also advisable to kids whose teeth are starting to grow.
