 Do a mylot blog about him and my mom's marriage journey. He said this should get about me 4 dollars! haha, dad, haha.
So I guess to start off, they met in college (I promise this won't be the "too long" version). They got married the first time on June 18, 1981. During their first marriage, they had my brother, James. Not long after he was born, they divorced. I'm sure this was a rather hard time for them both. Mom being 4 hrs away from dad, along with my brother being with my mom. When my brother was 4 yrs old, they reunited, and got married once again, on September 5, 1986. My mom moved to Prentiss, Ms, from Greenville, Ms, and they settled down here. They built this house we live in now, and have lived in for 21 yrs. Guess who was born in 88? lol. You guessed right, I was born on January 24, 1988. Can you imagine my surprise when they told me this? If they hadn't remarried, I don't believe I'd be here. Thank God, for reuniting them!
SO... that's their journey - the short version. I'm sure there are other details and points to this story, but you would've had to live through it with them to understand. They're marriage is so strong, though sometimes they argue and fuss, they do love one another, and my mom has stood by my dad through the toughest times in his life. To have a love like that, is a blessing.
