Pride Vs. Love  |

 Have you been in relationship where your rival is your partner's pride? I've been there and it's sad to say that I lost the battle.
I've always known how prideful he was but sometimes, it's just not right anymore. I had my own share of pride issues but his is just simply unbelievable. The last line was drawn on the last few months of our relationship. Although we had broken up, we still remain in contact with each other. But when he thought that I was already having a "thing" with someone else, he actually "hit it off" with another girl. He told me that he did that because he wanted to move on first before I even become happy with someone else. Which I think is unfair and unthinkable. I wasn't even having an affair with someone else because I still have hopes for our relationship. And now, we already have our separate lives.
What do you think? Was it really pride? Or he's just being selfish?

I can't believe pride had affected our relationship like that though. I never really imagined it would be the cause of our separation. Anyway, at least we've learned from it

If you keep on saving it even if you know that there is no way to fix it, you're just fooling your self. Your effort of saving it is no use, the problem is still there because you don't understand each other anymore. So boost up your girl power man, the more you are showing vulnerability to it, the more it will continue to hurt you. I hope you realize what I am saying.

But you know what, I am not afraid to let go a relationship that doesn't work no matter how long we've been together. I your case, I would say it is better you broke up with him. It is not good to keep a broken relationship, moving on is easy if you think things won't work out between the two of you. In your situation, it simply means you are not fit with each other. | |

I just realized that nothing seems to be going right anymore and our arguments had been a lot more often than usual. It hurts but it was getting tiring and more painful if I continue to stay. And now, I don't have any regrets with my decision. I have accepted the fact that we don't really fit together. It's just a matter of time before we realize it.
