Zzzz....Zzzz...Zzz....
I've always loved dreaming, even nightmares. The experience is exhillerating, fresh, and when the dream is not lucid, and adventure every time. Some nights I might be at old schools naked, or other nights I might be 600 years into the future in a spaceship, and others I might get to see dead relatives once again. All our dreams are different, but telling what they are isn't what this topic is about. What I want to know about is HOW you dream.
* Do you dream in full color?
* Do you experience your dreams, or do you just remember the experience?
* What senses do you have available to you in dreams? All of them, some, extra? Do you feel pain in your dreams, ever? Is it intense?
* Do your dreams ever seem real? For me, I can always tell that I'm acting out something that isn't quite "right", even if I'm not lucidly dreaming. There have only been two times all my life that the dreams I had seemed real, and both involved my dead mother
* Do you ever lucidly dream? If so, what power over the dream are you afforded? With me, I generally have what seems like 10 minutes of God, then I wake up. I can occasionally force myself back into the dream, though
* Do your dreams seem to just be parts of your life, like pieces of memory cobbled together into a semi-coherent storyline, or are they random? Are they both?
* Any other things to note about your dreams? Things that might not be normal, or just be of note?

I always dream in full color. I guess I wasn't aware that people dreamt in black & white?
Sometimes I experience my dreams, like I dreamt that I met my friends baby and I am planning on going to see her & her new baby today!
As far as I can tell I don't really have the sense of smell in my dreams. None that I can remember anyway.
My dreams always seem real. At least when I'm dreaming them they do. Sometimes I have to think through it after I've woken up to remember if that really happened or not.
It's pretty rare that I can force myself back into a dream. I usually go back into a dream if it's a nightmare.
My dreams are always random. But sometimes I can pick out something in my dream that relates to something I am stressing about.
A friend of mine dreams very vividly. I would say I'm not even close to her. She always remembers all of her dreams in great detail and for some weird reason I am in alot of them!

My dreams are always so real to me. Mostly they reflect whats going on in my life. I never have nightmares though. Mostly they have the people around me in my dreams. They are very strange ones though. Nothing is ever normal in my dreams. They are always very weird. The dream I had I wiped melted plastic on my lips. I'm not sure why I did it but I did. Usually my friends and family are in them. I usually have all of my senses in my dreams. When I wake up I can remember what I was thinking and what I was feeling and even smelling. Most times I wake up still feeling what I was feeling in my dream. They seem so real.

I always dream in full color... have no black & white screen though. Hahahaha....
But normally, I can sense in my dream - hurt, my taste bud, hear, etc. But I can;t smell anything at all. And there's one night where I had a nightmare, that wakes me up fro sleep, but continue right after I sleep again. And it continues 3 times per night. But to remember my dreams, its quite hard, maybe 10% of it would do much. But nightmare, I can remember every particular things in it. My last nightmare is when I see myself died, lying in a coffin.

Hello stan.

I think i dream in full color.
I just remember the experience. I am not experiencing my dreams.
Senses? I guess i can see, hear and touch. I am not sure of the taste and smell.lol
Yes i do feel pain and sometimes fear. When i am frightened i wake up. It's like a nightmare.
Yes me dreams seem to be real sometimes but not all the time.
My dreams have merged settings. Like for example, the first floor would be a grocery store then when you go up, it will be our second floor at home. Soo weird.rolleyes

Anyway, i enjoyed your discussion. I hope you could make some more. Take care!thumbup

I like sleeping and dreaming too. Nightmares..hmm..not so much. I used to dream quite a bit when I was younger. Over the past few year, my dreams have reduced for sure.

About my dreams.. They are generally very vivid and detailed. More often than not, when I wake up, I remember the smallest of details. From what I was wearing to what color dress it was ..to where I was ..the setting of the place and so on.
The dreams I have, are not generally based on stuff I am experiencing in life. But on 2-3 occasions, I have experienced and lived parts of my dreams.
I guess all of us have that dream, when we are falling and we get up with a start.
But I have had a dream that I have "experienced" a few times now. It's almost like I am seeing my body from above. I try to move my limbs but can't. It's such a horrible feeling, it's hard to explain. The first time I dreamt this, I thought I had a stroke. Gosh, that was scary.cry

I dream in color most of the time. I am almost always an outsider looking in, like I am watching a movie. I think that the dreams where I am seeing them in my own view, like I am a participant instead of an observer, are the ones where I have more senses. Like, in those dreams, if I hug someone I can usually feel the hug. But in most of them, it's just like watching a movie, all I have are sight and sound.

Sometimes I have dreams about people but they don't look like themselves but I know they are. I don't think they ever change genders but I remember one that was about two of my really good friends coming to pick me up from work to take me out for dinner but instead of my friends it was Adam Goldberg and David Krumholtz. The weirdest thing was, when I told them about it later they both thought that they each should have been the other one. They didn't think there was anything strange about being in the wrong bodies, just that they were in the wrong wrong bodies lol

Usually I have dreams about whatever is on my mind. Lately it's about hanging out with my favorite singer after a show having a long chat and a drink. Pretty dull but it's mine.
