have you notice lately, one of our tv news station is questionning our weather bureau if there forecast is accurate?..there was a time that the spokesperson of this bureau admits that they wish they have latest equipment to read the amount of rainfall, have you seen the local weather bureau station in cagayan province? omg! they are using a premative tools and the builiding needs some repair, i don't have any problem with our weather bureau guys, infact they are good ((thats why some of them were pirated by other country, LOL!)) they just don't have the latest tools and equiptments, so, what do you think, are they accurate with there forecast? do GMA administration is doing something do help this bureau or they are busy for the coming election?...

Given the right equipment, I'm sure Pag-asa will excel knowing the talents and expertise of Filipino engineers and scientists some of whom are known the world over. The latest addition will be the doppler radar which is still under construction and will be available maybe next year. Not only can they determine the movements of typhoons but also the volume of water they carry. At present Pagsasa is relying on the forecasts of US sophisticated weather stations based in Guam and Hawaii which are more accurate. Yes, being in the typhoon belt, the government should prioritize on modern equipment which can prevent many loss of lives and properties in the future. cheers!

Hello Bart,This is one of the issues that the Next Administration should tackle with since our technology in weather forecast is a way bit old for comfort. you know i wish we had that device from that movie twister but instead of using that on tornados, it should be used on the storms.
