Do you have gun for self defence?

Well in India it is allowed to keep a gun for self defense if you can get a license. The only condition is to show the need for having any gun. I do not have any gun but my dad has one which is kept in cupboard at all times so not much in use. It is not a crime in my country to kill in self defense.

No, I don't have a gun for self defense. It is illegal for a person in my home country to have a gun unless he or she has a special license. It wouldn't be possible to buy a gun without one of those hard to get special licenses. I saw many guns when I was traveling in Israel and have seen the police in many different countries with guns.

Well In India as a fellow mylotter just said that you can keep one IF you got its license BUT if a gun found without a license then Tihar is the place to go, John.
Tihar is like the most feared shut ups in India!
Now, on a personal note, I would so totally love to keep one pistol.Had hopes high for a 9mm but guess that will go just a little too far.
But I'm totally against young teenagers getting hold of guns.It is way too too too dangerous and insane and just a means of 'anytime self devastation'!

I read about cases in which one student of XII th grade got so frustrated that he shot himself..he was a son of some Big Time Corrupt Politician.
So, keeping a gun is one thing and in whose hands it is is another.

It's a fact that in many countries people are prohibited from carrying guns. I'm living in China, where guns are also prohibited. But as far as I know, such prohibition only aims at ordinary people. Those powerful people could easily get guns and are seldom punished by the government.

I really don't have a gun for self defence. I really don't think I need one for self defence. It is really dangerous keeping it for self defence. I don't think it is a wise idea. What if things went wrong and your kid went for the gun imagine the tragedy that could cause.

It is not cool to stay in Malaysia in that case, as i can't legally carry my Glock handgun with me during the visit, instead of serving the purpose of self defense with my choice of weapon when face with criminals, i need to face the prospect of getting hanged until death by Malaysia government for wanting to save my sorry As*, it is terrible. I better put off my planed vacation for Malaysia next year. hahahaha..
