hiv/aids  | |  there isn't a lot of talk about hiv and aids nowadays. I wonder why nobody wants to talk about it. There are so many people that have it that it shouldn't be hidden. It shouldn't be a taboo issue to talk about. It shouldn't make anyone feel awkward. So why does it. It always surprises me when I notice things like people don't talk about HIV/AIDS in their communities. I want to know why. Why is it so wrong to talk about something that's affecting so many people?

The reason I can think of is that it's no longer a big deal when you acquire the virus and those who got it just keep on living their lives and don't talk much about it in public.
