Yes the titanic was a real ship and it did sink.

The ship had a total lifeboat capacity of 1,178 people, although her capacity was 3,547. A disproportionate number of men died due to the women-and-children-first protocol that was followed.

yeah, sure it was a big tragedy. over 1500 people were lost in the accident. It should not have been like that because the lifeboats were cut down by 50%. Consequently, more people died because of the inadequacy of them.
