What are your expectations from your best friends?

They said in friendship there should be no expectations as problems arise when there's an expectation. As they believe that having expectation is purely selfish. But we can't help not to expect anything, especially from our close friends. They're the one whom we can always count on. Do you think it is not right to have expectations? Do you have any expectations from your best friends, what are they?

Honesty is the most important thing to me from friends & family. Tell it like it is.

You should expect something from your friends. But you dont expect them to give you money or material stuff. You can expect that your friend will listen to your problems, give you advice, support you, cheer you up, loyal to you, and never neglect you. These are some of the thins that you need to expect from your friends. There is one expectation that usually ruins friendship... "Where is he when you need him the most?" I suggest you dont include it in your expectations from your friends because it might destroy your friendship.

I want my best friend to be trustworthy and loyal and never jealous, one who doesn't backbite.
