does anyone miss the old school smileys?

i know wierd topic but i really want to know not because i have a problem with the new fancy pictury colorfull ones i just find that the old text ones are more inventive and fun atleast in my mind. i see alot of people using the new ones these days and it makes me feel like the old ones are becoming an endangered breed. my faveorite text face is>. < but thats because i actually glare at people alot so it fits me. whats your preference new or old and which is your fave outof one or both types?
