what do you think " look on every day as the last day in your life"?

Living every moment as your last is a good thing in my opinion. I don't try to think of it as my dying day, but live it out as if I were going to die by doing the things That I want to do.

It sounds like a great way to live your life. Here is a quote that is very similar. "Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow." - James Dean

I think this is a good way of thinking. However, the part about dreaming as if you'll live forever kind of adds something to it. Maybe I should start living my life more to the fullest.

I by no means think that I have been slacking off, but I could be a bit more cheery. I want to have a positive attitude and enjoy life to the fullest. It makes every day much better.

Yes, i like this philosophy. If everybody would remembered this the planet would be the heaven. This is an excellent life attitude.

If a person looks on every day as the last day of his life, he would not be planning ahead, setting goals and achieving anything. I am a goalsetter, so this philosophy does not appeal to me.

However, my motto here on myLot, and on my desk here in front of me, is "So live, that when you come to die, you have nothing left to do, but die"

It incorporates the idea of urgency, the necessity of doing what needs to be done, and of being in right relationship with God, family, friends and all people - but still encourages a future look. Its focus is life, not death. It is positive, not negative. It depicts the fragility of life, but also the ambition and value and purpose of life.

So live, that when you come to die, you have nothing left to do but die.

hi yanlisong, it is a good discussion i think. i never thought about this quesition, but i think it it very good to have this idea in mind. if i treat everyday to be my last day, i would cherish everything i have and pay more attention to my falimilies. at least i would make every effort on my work and call my mom once in a day.:)

It is a great thing to put your heart and soul into everything in life! But I dont think people should look at it as thier last day of living...we have seen so many people just be gone i a blink of an eye and it can happen at any given second! People should definatley apprciate things in life as their are sooo many out there that take it for granted!
