I found this article on Yahoo, and thought that it was interesting, and I think that this would be a very fun discussion:

Is this true? Is humanity still evolving? Do we feel like we are all still evolving? What will we be like in another 1,000 years from now? Who or what will we be? What will out genetic make-up be like?
Is this statement true: "Uniquely in the living world, what makes humans what we are is in our minds, in our society, and not in our evolution."
Let's have everyone's thoughts. I think that this is fascinating. Even to those of you who don't believe in Evolution, you have to wonder what we are? What makes us who we are? And what will we eventually become? What kind of people are we now compared to what we were hundreds of years ago?

oh we are definately getting fatter and it seems no matter what we try it doesnt really help. have you seen the movie Wallie? maybe its spelled Wally. in any case it shows how people will become with so much "sit on your butte, let computers do it all" technology can do to us. its animated but certainly interesting to watch. they also say today most, more people are taller because of smog, etc.

It is "Wall-E" and it is actually true of what is happening right now. People are becoming lazy, we are bigger than what we were, and we spending WAY too much time on the computer.
