Is it Good to say NO? |
|
Time and again one has wondered if one should agree and then cut a sorry figure or compromise on quality or say no in the very first instance and explain our own limitations. Do we not postpone the bad feelings to the end and and also in a way make it owrse then saying no in the first instance. But Alas I have seen that hap[pen so often. We should learn to say no. What do you say?

1. Ted_123 (107) | 1 month ago | Hi there, you are right. Sometimes many tend to postpone the bad side of things to the end, but i think that is bad. Maybe it causes the things worse. Therefore i dont do it so generally to avoid disapointment after previous temporary happiness.
Happy mylotting!:)

But there are some people who just want to push things and want to get things done. They force the answer YES on other people, if they find it is easy to manipulate them. It is more of trick to make people say yes when they don't want to say it. Once they said yes, you fall into trap of their saying.Better avoid such people by saying NO at right time. I agree with you, we should say NO when we have to.

Graceekwenx (537) | 1 month ago | i can relate to you. Usually, this happens to marketing people when they are pressured on a quota in a company and when they are in front of a magnanimous client. They would happen to say "yes" in the expense of operations people who may not be able to provide the service well enough. Eventually, the commitment and both company and client suffers.

Graceekwenx (537) | 1 month ago | i agree with you. We just have to take one step at a time and deny hard projects upfront otherwise it would ruin our momentum, not to mention a reputation.

4. Graceekwenx (537) | 1 month ago | we have to say "No" for instances that would really compromise ourselves or other persons. Oftentimes, when we say "yes" but in actual life it should've been "no," our commitments are so half-baked. though oftentimes, in the marketing arena, you would love to say "yes" just to appease a client and when it comes to deliverables, the performance has not been good rendering you unreliable and unrecommendable. We just have to get a real grip when we say "no" if we really couldnt handle it.

6. asweetie (566) | 1 month ago | hi renuka, There are lots of time in life when you can not say no even if you want to but if someone is dependent on you for some work and you know you can not do it, then i think it is better to say no right away and be bad than keep him hanging and then say no when he is not even in position to go to anyone else.. since ur indian so i can give u an example..u know how we get govt jobs.. a cousin went to some one for approach who said yes he would do it and when result came he didnt get him selected..had he told him in begining that he cant or wont do it then my cousin would have approached someone else rather than remaining assured that this man would get him in.
