I wonder if anyone of you have ever visited Stradbroke Island, Queensland, Australia.
Great and nice beaches, dive spots and great nature walks. Now, it seems like there's a humongous 20 feet Great White Shark on the prowl!
A photograph on a recent news article report showed just how huge this shark was as it pictured another 14 feet shark being bitten almost into half. Frankly speaking, I have never seen a shark this size in all my diving trips. I think the biggest I had seen was 9 feet and this is 20 footer is simply unimaginable. This by far must be the biggest Great White.
So, if you are planning a trip to Stradbroke Island or there, would have to heed this warning and stay away from the beach if possible. Have you ever experience seeing a live shark?

jb78000,
Well, this is one heck of a 20 footer and by far the largest to ever wonder so close to the shores.
I do not think there will be swimmers who would want to risk and be a fish meal. However, my main concern isn't the swimmers but why there is so much presence of whales, dolphins and now sharks in shore when they actually should be out in the open. I am wondering if men have been the main cause of this.
Happy myLotting.

rhan04,
I feel you should try and have a stroll on the beach to begin with, sometime. I can assure you that there will not be any sharks at least not on land.
Since you are not at the deep end of the beach and diving, there is no real concern for you. But, I would encourage you to visit this island the next trip there.
Have a nice day.
