Being A good Friend...

I look for friends how have an adventurous spirit. I like people who can be spontaneous and whip together a great evening in five minutes. I like to surround myself with people who enjoy life. I really do not have a lot of time for people who are negative and who have addiction problems. I work with this type of person for a job and can't imagine letting the toxic fumes into my regular life. I think it is important for a friend to be understanding and to be able to read me. I love when my best friend and I talk on the phone and she can tell in my voice that I need a pick me up. She is famous for showing up at my door, dragging me out of the house and making me have a wonderful evening.

I think that you are correct regarding each person searching for different qualities in a friend.

I believe that a good friend should be there for you in the time of need, especially at the bad times, when you need them the most. A good friend should be a good listener even if he's/ she's not the best advice giver, sometimes just talking about a problem can help some of us figure out a solution, or just easing up our tension.
