How much exercise do you do?

I work out at the gym five times a week up to 3 hours a day. Exercising releases 'happy hormones' so it does make a person feel good. Most of my time is spent doing weight training - heavy weights, 3 sets of 8 reps. At the end of the day you want to build muscle to burn fat. There are so many myths about weight training for woman. What are some of the myths or ludicrous things you have heard about weight training? How often do you work out? Do you concentrate more on cardio or weight training?

I jog 3 times a week but consistently. I dont want to have big muscles in my body so I dont go to the gym at all. It reduces my daily stress , can eat better can sleep better . I am not a tall man and I dont like to see myself with big muscles.

Exercise is just fantastic for your wellbeing. You don't have to have big muscles to be healthy. Your body fat should just be low, then you know your muscles are burning fat effectively. Happy training!

I damaged my knees so I don't train much until I'll fix them. I do a lot of swimming (running is not an option), pullups, pushups, crunches with a lot of variations and hanging raises. I practice yoga every day along with some exercises for knees. I train to be in great shape for parkour and Ninjutsu but I can't practice those until my knees get better so I lack training motivation:(

Injuries always dampen motivation. Glad to hear you do some form of exercise. I love yoga too. I actually do a Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates class twice a week which is good, not only for the body, but for your mind and soul too. I would rather train hard, with the risk of injury, than waste time doing nothing. Hope you get your knee well soon so you can regain your motivation and get back into your normal routine.

I'm sad to say that I am not that aggressive when it comes to exercising and I have the body to prove it. Sigh! One of these days, I'll exerciese again.

I workout 3 out of the 7 days of the week alternating between heavy lifting and light cardio. I really want to adapt to an intensified program so I can make massive gains quickly but I gotta start somewhere! I try to lift in the mornings so I have the most energy for workout and I'm currently in my bulking phase.
