What foods should i eat to gain weight? email this discussion to a friend?

hey all:)

firstly i am slightly underweight, i am a 5'7 male and weigh 52kg.

iv never really been bothered about it but alot of people have been saying how skinny i look ect..

I am currently taking tramadol for arthritis pain (had it since i was 14:@ ) and it suppresses my appetite quite alot and i don't want to loose more weight.

i was thinking drinking lots of milk might help?

any diet suggestions would be appreciated:)

Potatoes for one. And bread too. You know carbs do put on the weight.

Take short frequent meals about 5 to 6 in a day.
Include eggs,sprouts,nuts,banana,fiber fruits,carbohydrate diet,milk and milk products,chicken,fish,meat in your diet.
Drinking milk along with banana might help.
Avoid oily and spicy food.
Also avoid alcohol and,smoking,tobacco

Avoid alcohol? are you sure??

as far as i know a pint of beer has 200 calories and stimulates appetite..

but the rest of your suggestions sound spot on cheers:)
