why does brown bread

I havent had Brown Bread for years,
And I have to admit the reasons I stopped buying it was because it didnt stay as fresh as long as white bread, and it did go off quicker.
I buy the White Batch Baked that day stuff from Asda,
The good thing about it is this, its so good its never in the house long enough to go off, I buy one every 2 days
Door step sandwiches, lol.

Sorry your having a problem with brown bread. I don't eat white bread it isn't good for you. I have never had a problem with brown bread molding or being hard and I keep my bread in the frig. It stays fresher that way. We only use about a loaf of bread a week.

White bread has more sugar in it than brown bread. They make it different in other ways too, but I don't know how. Maybe it's more processed and that's why it last longer. I like white bread, but I prefer brown bread because it's healthier. There's some brown bread I like the taste of too. My favorite is Jewish Rye. It's also the softest and less dry brown bread I've ever had.

The wholemeal bread is so dry i have noticed.I tend to only eat white as the other stuff just tastes horris to me.I think that it is the wholemeal that is dryer than anything,so they must put something in it to cause it to be like that.
